Is Valheim 1.0 and the Deep North out?
Yes. Valheim 1.0 is live with the Deep North. Dedicated servers support PC, Linux, Mac, Xbox, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2, with crossplay between all platforms.
Do I need a new world for Valheim 1.0?
No. Iron Gate says old saves continue working, but Deep North terrain generates properly only in areas no player has explored. Iron Gate recommends a fresh world for the best complete 1.0 experience. Back up before you start an existing world on 1.0.
Can console players join my Valheim server?
Yes. Crossplay is enabled by default, so friends on PS5, Switch 2, Xbox and PC can join with one code.
Can I move my single-player Valheim world to a server?
Yes. Keep the matching .db and .fwl world files together when uploading, or ask us to migrate an existing hosted world for free. Create a full backup first.
How many players can join a Valheim server?
Valheim supports 1–10 players. The limit is unchanged in 1.0. Every berrybyte Valheim plan includes all 10 slots.
Does berrybyte update Valheim servers automatically?
Yes. Auto Update is enabled by default and installs the current dedicated-server build when the server starts. Back up an existing world before the first 1.0 start if you have not already.
