General
The message shown below the server name in the multiplayer list. Supports color codes.
The default game mode for players joining.
The world difficulty.
If enabled, players are set to spectator mode on death and difficulty is locked to hard.
Forces players into the default game mode every time they join.
World
The name of the world folder.
The seed used to generate the world. Leave blank for random.
The world generation type.
Whether structures (villages, strongholds, etc.) generate.
The maximum radius, in blocks, of the world border.
Radius of blocks around spawn that non-ops cannot edit. 0 disables it.
Whether players can travel to the Nether.
Gameplay
Whether players can damage each other.
Whether hostile mobs spawn.
Allows survival players to fly (e.g. via mods). When off, players flagged as flying are kicked.
Whether command blocks are enabled.
Players
The maximum number of players that can be connected at once.
Verifies players against Mojang's auth servers. Disable only for offline/proxy setups.
Whether the server uses a whitelist.
Kicks players not on the whitelist when the whitelist reloads.
Minutes before idle players are kicked. 0 disables the timeout.
The permission level granted to operators (1–4).
Requires players to have a Mojang-signed chat profile to join.
Network
The TCP port the server listens on.
The IP to bind to. Leave blank to bind to all interfaces.
Whether the server appears as online in the server list.
Kicks players whose connection appears to come through a proxy/VPN.
Enables remote console access (RCON).
Enables the GameSpy4 query protocol for server listings.
Performance
The radius, in chunks, sent to players. The biggest driver of memory and CPU use.
The radius, in chunks, where entities and ticking are simulated.
Milliseconds a single tick may take before the watchdog stops the server. -1 disables it.
Packets larger than this many bytes are compressed. -1 disables compression.
Whether chunk writes to disk are synchronous.
